3rd Line Service Desk Support Engineer

Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Work Location: Hybrid after probation (1 day/week from home)
Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 per annum
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled 3rd Line Service Desk Support Engineer to join our local, leading and expanding IT Service Provider. In this role, you will be an integral part of our advanced service desk team, tackling escalated technical issues and providing top-tier support to its clients. You will also play a key role in post-implementation support and project delivery, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring seamless IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional 3rd line support to clients.
  • Efficiently manage and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Mentor and guide 1st and 2nd line support engineers.
  • Collaborate with project teams to manage escalations and ensure smooth implementations.
  • Support and optimize Office 365 / Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Maintain and enhance Windows Server domain environments, Windows 10, and Office 365.
  • Handle advanced networking tasks, including DNS and DHCP.
  • Work extensively with the wider M365 suite, including Intune and SharePoint.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Extensive experience in 3rd line support.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Expertise in supporting and optimizing Office 365 / Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • Deep knowledge of Windows Server domain environments, Windows 10, and Office 365.
  • Proficiency in advanced networking, including DNS and DHCP.
  • Experience with Intune and SharePoint is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in an IT Service Provider environment is preferred.
