Last weekend, we came together to celebrate something pretty special. Ten amazing years of Mexa Solutions to celebrate a whole decade of finding top tech talent, supporting brilliant businesses, and helping people land their dream roles.
Simon and Bob pulled out all the stops and treated the whole team to a long weekend in the sun. We spent two unforgettable days soaking up the rays, eating delicious food, laughing way too much, and raising a glass or two to everything we’ve achieved together.
The celebrations started bright and early on Thursday morning as we caught the first flight out of Gatwick. Naturally, the day had to kick off with breakfast at Spoons because it is just a holiday tradition!
Then it was time to board the plane, and somewhere during the flight, we think we spotted the office from above…I mean not exactly, but it was thereabouts somewhere!
When we landed in Marbella, we were met by our lovely driver who whisked us away to our hotel. After a quick change, we headed out for lunch and drinks by the marina, soaking in the stunning views and the buzzing atmosphere.
With the heat climbing to 35 degrees we needed to cool off quickly. Luckily we found the perfect solution in the form of a rooftop bar with a pool. A few leisurely lengths and maybe a few cocktails later we headed back to get ready for our evening plans.
Dinner that night was in Marbella’s beautiful old town where we tucked into great food, shared stories and had a proper catch up. Once the plates were cleared we made our way back to the marina and threw some celebratory dance moves before heading back to our rooms for a well earned sleep.
On day two we fully embraced the beach lifestyle. Sunbeds, sea swims and plenty of chilled out vibes all round. It was the perfect way to unwind and take a breather from our usual fast paced days. That evening we returned to the old town for another lovely dinner followed by a classic Mexa karaoke session!
Before we knew it it was time to head home but not before one final toast to ten brilliant years of Mexa. The weekend was the perfect way to reflect on everything we’ve built and everything still to come. We feel incredibly lucky to do what we do every day which is connecting amazing people with incredible opportunities and helping businesses grow through great tech talent!
