QA Engineer - Genesys Cloud (Omnichannel, Automation, CI/CD)
£400 - £500 / day | Fully Remote | Outside IR35 | 3-month contract (likely to extend)
Experience in testing contact centre solutions / Genesys Cloud is essential for this role.

What you’ll be doing:
- Leading QA within a cross-functional agile squad delivering new Genesys Cloud capabilities
- Designing and developing automated tests (frontend and backend) with TypeScript or similar
- Validating chatbot flows, messaging journeys, call routing logic, and integrations
- Building out test coverage for APIs, user journeys, and platform behaviours
- Embedding automated testing into CI/CD workflows
- Working closely with engineers and product to refine stories and define acceptance criteria
- Balancing automation with targeted manual validation when it adds more value
- Supporting deployments and investigating issues in production environments
- Constantly pushing for shift-left, test-first thinking within the squad
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Strong experience in QA engineering with Genesys Cloud or similar omnichannel platforms
- A solid automation background, ideally with TypeScript, Playwright, or equivalent tools
- Hands-on experience testing cloud-based platforms (Azure, GCP, etc.)
- Experience working in agile squads and DevOps/CI-CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of test strategy, coverage, and quality metrics
- Confident communicator: happy in ceremonies, with engineers, or in stakeholder discussions
- Bonus points for testing chatbot or conversational flows, or SaaS/low-code platforms
