Salary: Circa 50 to 70k pending experience (negotiable).

3 Days in the Office, 2 working from home.

We are a leading provider of Commercial Debt Solutions, with over 30 years' experience of acquiring and managing debt portfolios in the UK and across Europe. Utilising cutting-edge analytics and data solutions to assess and manage accounts, we ensure our customers are treated with integrity and respect.

We are going through a period of rapid growth and are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting new role created due to continued expansion and will be working with our Engineering team, with the freedom to utilise technological solutions to solve problems.

The Role

What you'll be doing

  • You will use your expertise of cloud-data warehouses and programming languages to deliver high-quality data pipeline solutions
  • Solving business problems with technical skills and solutions
  • Re-engineering, automating and digitising business processes
  • You will provide your technical input and knowledge sharing to various engineering projects
  • You will upskill junior members in the team by providing mentorship, with the potential of going into either Management or Architecture with 12 months
  • Attend meetings with key stakeholders

Experience and skills required

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience working with Cloud software and technologies (such as MS Azzure, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services)
  • Proven experience managing and analysing both structured and unstructured data.
  • Proven data engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages (Python, Databricks and Snowflake)
  • Machine Learning skills also desirable
  • Leadership qualities - desire to mentor and manage a team
  • Proactive - you see a problem, you fix a problem
  • The ability to connect with stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills are a must
  • Confident, personable and self-motivated individual
