Working within the desktop services team for a leading organisation, the Lead Desktop Engineer will be responsible for providing end user desktop support, end user desktop deployments and rollouts using SCCM as well as escalated service support from the IT service desk. This role will be a highly technical position opportunity at 2nd line and 3rd line support position and will have some Windows Server and networking involvement. This will be working within a small team and will have the responsibility for leading and managing a junior desktop engineer.
- Excellent end user desktop support background
- Strong experience in managing and deploying desktop deployment and migration projects
- Strong experience in SCCM for desktop deployments
- Previous experience in leading or managing at least one desktop engineer
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management experience
This position would suit Desktop Engineer / Service Engineer / End User Computing Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer / Support Engineer / Service Engineer, who has strong experience in desktop support and desktop deployment projects using SCCM as well as team leadership experience.
This Lead Desktop Engineer position is looking to start ASAP, will be based in Central London (1 day/week from home), paying 50,000 - £57,500 - depending upon background and experience.
