Lead Data Engineer, WFH, Consultancy, up to 90K

We are currently partnering with a global consultancy firm that is growing massively and full of opportunity. We're looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join the expanding Data Team to provide leadership and technical expertise to a team that will be deploying cutting solutions for the business's clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as a Project or DI lead that will oversee multiple consultants that will be experts in different competencies and technologies.
Design, develop, test and deploy data integration processes using appropriate tools
Create functional documentation such as ETL architecture documentation
Provide consultative methods of approach, asking key questions to understand the needs of client businesses.
Report, identify, design and implement a reporting user experience that is consistent across environments.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

3 years of Management experience at a minimum is an absolute must.
Minimum of 3 years of consultancy experience
Experience within Data Architecture, data modelling or similar experience
Strong, demonstrable experience in using Data integration tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Glue or Airflow
Experience with working with Data Warehousing tools.
Strong understanding of Big Data Frameworks in Spark, Hadoop or Hive (this includes PySpark, SparkScala or SparkSQL) or similar
Experience working with major database platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse/SQL Data Warehouse, Snowflake or Redshift etc.

SALARY:

Up to £75,000 per annum depending on experience.
