£25,000 - £30,000, depending upon background and experience.

This role will require 12 hour shift work, consisting of 4 days on / 4 days off.

Working within the IT Service Desk / Helpdesk team of a leading IT consultancy & Managed Service Provider, the 2nd Line Infrastructure Support Technician will be responsible for providing 2nd line BAU support to managed service customers and dealing with major escalations from the 1st Line Service Desk team. This will primarily be across application, desktop, server and storage virtualisation technologies. The technology environment is across Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Hyper-V, Windows 10 & Windows Mobile, networking (DNS, DHCP, routing & switching, firewalls), Office 365, Citrix and IT hardware.

Required Skills:

- Strong 2nd line IT support experience

- Good experience across Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365

- Good awareness of Hyper-V or VMware, and networking across DNS, DHCP

- Ideally good Azure support experience

- Ideally previous experience of working for a managed service provider / IT Service Provider

- Excellent communication & stakeholder management experience

This position would suit an Infrastructure Support Technician, 2nd Line Support Analyst / 2nd Line Analyst / Service Desk Analyst / IT Support Technician / IT Support Engineer / IT Technician / Helpdesk Support, who has strong experience in providing 2nd line support in an IT Services / Managed Services environment.

This 2nd Line Support Analyst position is looking to start ASAP, will be based in Bournemouth, Dorset, paying from £25,000 - £30,000, depending upon background and experience
