£65,000 - £85,000 per annum Salary

Are you an expert in Azure looking to make a huge difference to a company's Cloud implementation journey?

So, you're an expert in Azure Cloud Services. You understand how to save companies thousands of pounds through your keen understand of different Azure services & technical knowledge gained through your software experience in another life before pivoting in to managing Azure services.

But you're in a rut.

The day-to-day BAU within your firm has become monotonous.

You yearn for something more, to have a bigger impact on the firm you work with; rather than just saving money for a faceless CEO somewhere.

Your Next Challenge:

This will be bigger than anything you've done before. Yet with twice the challenge, comes twice the satisfaction.

This is your opportunity to imbed as one of the key founding members of a large insurance firms journey away from on premise infrastructure to Azure Cloud infrastructure. Helping them with both the transition and take up of the technology, through to the continued management and expansion of the technology.

You'll be working with the leadership teams and various internal & external stakeholders to oversee a smooth implementation of Azure and then it will fall to you to manage the company's Azure spend & services which best fit the overall mission of the company. This is where your Azure expertise can really shine.

You'll be constantly ensuring the cloud environment is secure, reliable, and optimized; as well as making sure everything is running smoothly and addressing any problems if they arise.

You'll have the benefit of hybrid & flexible working. Working from prestigious offices in the heart of Canary Wharf's financial district, some days you won't set foot in the office for a month, others you may do a solid week of office work and other week you might only pop in for a meeting. Flexibility is key here: you'll work on a schedule that is appropriate for both yours and the business needs.

Either way, you will be a key player within this large business and as such you will be a highly visible member of the team.

The Business

As with any business transformation, you'll know that any project as big as this presents both challenges and opportunities in equal parts.

The company has a long and proud 140-year history of providing insurance services to the medical sector for over a century now.

Situated in the heart of the UK, the Canary Wharf financial district you will form part of the beating heart of the UK's services sector; while also knowing your work is positively impacting Doctors all up and down the UK.

About You:

First and foremost, you're an expert in managing Azure Services and spend.

Secondly, you'll have background in software.

You'll also be a charismatic and pragmatic individual. You will be able to communicate with people within this organisation on how and why they need to change their current policies and services for the better. This may invite telling people what they need to hear, not what they want to hear - So of course you'll need to be able to structure these conversations with a certain level of finesse.

And finally, a degree is not needed, however we will be looking for Azure Certifications, experience managing Azure spend and a previous background in software.
