Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Work location: hybrid after probation (1 day/week from home)
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

About the Role:

 

We are seeking a skilled 2nd Line Service Desk Support Engineer to join a leading & growing IT Service Provider. In this role, you will be a crucial part of our service desk team, resolving technical issues and ensuring a high level of support for our clients. You will also collaborate with project teams for post implementation support, helping to manage escalations and providing guidance to junior engineers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding 2nd line support to clients.
  • Manage and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to 1st line support engineers.
  • Collaborate with project teams to handle escalations.
  • Support Office 365 / Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Maintain Windows Server domain environments, Windows 10, and Office 365.
  • Handle networking tasks, including DNS and DHCP.
  • Work with the wider M365 suite, including Intune and SharePoint.

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in 2nd line support.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in supporting Office 365 / Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server domain environments, Windows 10, and Office 365.
  • Familiarity with networking, including DNS and DHCP.
  • Experience with Intune and SharePoint is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in an IT Service Provider environment is preferred.
