2nd Line / 3rd Line Support Engineer, with a proven background of providing 2nd line & 3rd line support in a managed service environment, is required for a Managed Service Provider based in Fareham paying from £25,000 - £35,000.

The client can either hire an experienced 2nd line support analyst, who's ready to step into a 3rd line role (with training given) or an experience 3rd line support analyst.

Working for a Managed Service Provider

£25,000 - £30,000, for 2nd line support level

£30,000 - £35,000, for 3rd line support level

Working within the IT Support team of a growing Managed Service Provider, the 2nd line / 3rd Line Support Engineer will be responsible for providing 2nd line support and 3rd line support (BAU support) to managed service customers, helping with 3rd line support issues and assisting with the delivery of customer projects. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to expand their career and exposure within MSP support. The role will involve travel to local customer sites, so a full driving license is required. The technology environment is across Windows Server (2016 & 2019), Active Directory, Azure, Hyper-V, Windows 10, networking (DNS, DHCP, firewall configuration, routing & switching) and Office 365.

Required Skills:

- Previous experience of working for a managed service provider / IT Service Provider

- Excellent 2nd line IT support

- Ideally good experience of 3rd line support, though training will be given

- Good experience across Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365

- Good experience with Hyper-V or VMware, and networking across DNS, DHCP and firewalls

- Excellent communication & stakeholder management experience

This position would suit a 2nd Line Support Analyst / 2nd Line Analyst / Service Desk Analyst / IT Support Technician / IT Support Engineer / 3rd Line Support / 3rd Line Engineer / Service Desk Engineer, who has strong experience in providing 2nd line support and ideally 3rd line support in an IT Services / Managed Services environment.

This 2nd Line / 3rd Line Support Engineer position is looking to start ASAP, will be based in Fareham, paying from £25,000 - £35,000, depending upon background and experience
