Working for a Portsmouth based Managed Service Provider

£22,000 - £30,000, depending upon background and experience.

This is a home based position.

Working for a growing Managed Service Provider the 2nd Line Support Engineer will be working on the technical support desk responsible for supporting the BAU support of the external customer base. This will include 2nd line infrastructure support across Windows Server, Azure, Office 365, virtualised environments in VMware / Hyper-V and networking technologies across DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.

As a 2nd Line Support Analyst will be providing 2nd line BAU support to managed service customers, helping with 3rd line support issues and assisting with the delivery of customer projects. The technology environment is across Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Hyper-V, Windows 10, networking (DNS, DHCP, routing & switching) and Office 365.

Required Skills:

- Good background in providing 2nd line IT support

- Previous experience of working for a managed service provider / IT Service Provider

- Good experience across Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365

- Good experience with Hyper-V or VMware, and networking across DNS, DHCP

- Excellent communication & stakeholder management experience

This position would suit a 2nd Line Support Analyst / 2nd Line Analyst / Service Desk Analyst / IT Support Technician / IT Support Engineer / IT Technician / Helpdesk Support, who has strong experience in providing 2nd line support in an IT Services / Managed Services environment.

2nd Line Support Analyst, with a proven background of providing 2nd line support in a managed service environment, is required for a Managed Service Provider for a home based role paying from £22,000 - £30,000.
